Care Home Directory
This directory lists the care homes registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) within the borough of Stockton-on-Tees, including Billingham, Norton, Thornaby, Ingleby Barwick, Eaglescliffe, Yarm and the surrounding villages. It has been put together to help people living with dementia, their families and carers see at a glance which homes exist locally, where they are, and what kinds of care each one is registered to provide.
The information comes from publicly available CQC registration data. Each entry links to the home’s official CQC page, where you can check the current registration, latest rating and most recent inspection reports. Because ratings and registrations can change, please always check the CQC page for the most up-to-date position.

A care category shown here means the home is registered to support people in that group. It does not guarantee that the home currently has a vacancy, or that it can meet a particular person’s individual needs. A home registered for both nursing care and dementia is not necessarily a specialist dementia nursing service — if someone needs specialist nursing care for more complex dementia-related needs, please ask the home directly about this.
Families should always speak directly with a care home and request an individual assessment before making any decision. If the person you support is in hospital or has a social worker, the hospital discharge team, social worker or local authority should help identify services able to meet the person’s assessed needs.
