w/c Monday 8th July

This week it was all about Wimbledon in the Stockton, Billingham, Thornaby and Eaglescliffe YAH Groups. 

Whilst enjoying their Strawberries and Cream the groups took part in a tennis themed quiz, they were all great sports as they played the Game to win the points, Set too and won the Match.

Billingham followed this up with another Musical Memories, Singing along with Trisha to some old time favourites and getting noisy with the Percussion instruments. 

Tuesday was our Cruise with Mr Carter on board the Teesside Princess, Live music and Afternoon Tea, cruising up the River Tees to Yarm and back to the Barrage. An afternoon that was fully enjoyed by all who attended.

In this weeks ‘Letys Get Arty’ art group on Wednesday, we made Ceramic style Leaf shaped dishes from Air Dried Clay.

w/c Monday 15th July

On Monday YAH Billingham took part in a trial session of Tai Chi The group participated in some gentle seated exercise, movement and relaxation to help relax the body and mind.

Tuesday saw the Launch of our ‘Magic Moments Cafe’ with live entertainment from Caitlyn Black.

Whilst enjoying a light brunch of sandwiches, fruit and a few naughty cream cakes.

On Wednesday, this week after completing their Clay dishes, our Art group took part in Glass Painting sunflowers.

Thursday Eaglescliffe YAH group had a game of indoor Curling, what a fun game, exercise and enjoyment all rolled into one !!

w/c Monday 22nd July

Monday Billingham YAH had Circus Skills, practicing their juggling skills and co-ordination with Batons and Balls, before the group worked together to balance balloons on the Parachute.

On Wednesday the Art Group carried on to complete their Glass Painting projects.

Thursday YAH Eaglescliffe, Words was the topic of conversation, matching sentences and enjoying a game of Hangman.

Friday it was our Monthly visit to Thornaby with Trish for Musical Memories, another busy session of singing along to our favourites, a little dancing and for some members the recollection of some happy memories. 

w/c Monday 29th July

on Monday it was our double session at Billingham,  YAH group followed swiftly with Musical Memories.

The group enjoyed team games of Dominoes before joining Trish for some Singing and instrument paying.  The group sang along and made the actions to some fun favourites, such as  ‘Michael Row Your Boat a Shore’  

On Wednesday our Art group experimented with Tissue Art, involving colour transfer onto their artwork with wet tissue paper.

Thursday our Eaglescliffe group relaxed with a favouite of their’s,  a game of Dominoes, whilst enjoying their cuppa and biscuits.
