Week Commencing 3rd June

On Monday In Billingham YAH group we used the Question Cards. On the cards there were various scenarios, activities and questions that were asked of the group. The group worked well to answer individual questions and equally as well as a team to carry out the activities.

On Wednesday we had our first ‘Let’s Get Arty Group’ held in Grays Road Institute.  The first half of the session, the group were asked what sort of art activities they would like to do. The second half of the session we did a small piece of artwork using watercolour and doodling to create our pictures.

In Eaglescliffe this week we made air-dried clay, sunflower garden plaques. The group rolled out the plaque base before cutting and shaping petals and a centre of their flowers.  Members cut and carved into their plaques to make their own individual style plaques, once dried they will be varnished ready for hanging in their garden or home.

Week commencing 10th June

This week in Stockton and Eaglescliffe YAH groups the topic of discussion was Art, we looked at various artwork from Botticelli ‘Birth Of Venus’ from the Renaissance, Modern artwork by Van Gogh – ‘Starry night’ and ‘Sunflowers’, Classic work by Leonardo da Vinci the ‘Mona Lisa’ and an Abstract piece by Jackson Pollock called ‘Convergence’.
