Today we had another relaxed session with an emphasis on the group members getting to know each other. In order to stimulate engaging conversations that the group could follow we relied on the questions and statements on the ‘Toss and Talk’ balls purchased from Activities to Share.

We have 3 different ‘Toss and Talk’ balls; music, about me, family history. By using the 3 different balls for engagement we can cater to the needs, memories and interests of the majority of the group members.

The difficulty of delivering such an activity in larger group settings in ensuring that everyone takes part (avoid catching the ball or punching the ball away) and that everyone can hear each other’s responses.

Next week we will be taking part in a cognitively stimulating activity, as yet undecided.
