This week at Young At Heart ULO sessions we had a TV Themes quiz. The groups separated into smaller teams, handed out the answer sheets and pens after ensuring everyone had hot drinks and biscuits. We played through the playlist of 40 classic TV themes, playing a maximum of 60 seconds of each theme to the group. The game was also like a game of charades as I tried to mime some of the theme tunes but didn’t do a very good job of it!
In Billingham, we had something a little bit different. Those who attended the session at John Whitehead Park were treated to a trishaw experience courtesy of Cycling Without Age founder Ole Kassow and his colleague Pernille Bussone. Those who took part in the trishaw trials around the park all thoroughly enjoyed the experience – their smiles said it all! We are now fundraising to purchase a trishaw and bring the Cycling Without Age initiative to Stockton on Tees.
Next week we are going to have a sing-a-long to music related to the seasons and to a small selection of love songs to mark Valentine’s Day.
